Training is available for new firearm owners, developing shooters, and experienced firearm owners looking to reinforce proper fundamentals.

All training is provided by appointment only.

NRA Pistol & *Ohio CCW / CHL Training

Pistol instruction is designed to develop safe, confident, and responsible handgun handling skills.

Training includes:

Students should verify all current state requirements before applying for an Ohio concealed handgun license.

NRA Rifle Training

NRA Rifle instruction focuses on the safe operation and fundamental use of rifles.

NRA Shotgun Training

Outdoor Clay Pigeon Shooting Only

Shotgun instruction offered through Unlimited Possibilities, LTD is specifically focused on outdoor clay pigeon shooting.

This training provides students with an introduction to safe shotgun handling and the fundamentals necessary for recreational clay shooting.

Instruction includes:

Shotgun safety
Shotgun operation
Ammunition and shotshell fundamentals
Loading and unloading procedures
Proper mounting of the shotgun
Stance and body positioning
Target acquisition
Tracking moving targets
Swing and follow-through
Lead fundamentals
Clay target shooting techniques

Shotgun training is conducted outdoors and is limited to clay pigeon / flying target instruction.

New Firearm Owner Instruction

Purchasing a firearm is only the beginning.

Individual instruction is available to help firearm owners become familiar with the safe operation and handling of their firearm.

Instruction include:

Understanding firearm controls
Safe loading and unloading
Basic disassembly and maintenance
Ammunition identification
Safe storage
Transportation
Range preparation
Fundamental shooting techniques

This is particularly useful for first-time firearm owners who want professional guidance before practicing independently.

Individual & Small-Group Training

Private and small-group instruction may be available depending upon the course, range availability, and training requirements.

Individual instruction provides additional opportunity to focus on the student’s firearm, experience level, questions, and specific areas requiring improvement.

What to Bring

Specific equipment requirements will be provided when training is scheduled.

Depending upon the course, students may be required to provide:

A safe and serviceable firearm
Appropriate ammunition
Eye protection
Hearing protection
Appropriate clothing and footwear
Firearm case or range bag
Course-specific materials
Firearm of your choice. If you do not have your own firearm, please contact me prior to the course to discuss available options for using a firearm appropriate for your experience level.

All firearms must be transported and handled in accordance with applicable laws, range rules, and instructor directions.

Safety Comes First

Safe firearm handling is mandatory throughout all training.

Students are expected to follow established firearm safety rules, range procedures, and instructor commands.

The instructor reserves the right to immediately stop any activity when an unsafe condition or unsafe firearm handling practice is observed.
